Advanced Gong Playing

This is an intermediate course in playing the Gong. Open to those who have completed the How to Play the Gong or online Gong Dharma course. 

In this course on advanced playing techniques, you will take your playing to another level.

You will learn how to construct playing sequences from a place of intuition and elevation. You will discover how to use the three components of gong playing – rhythm, volume, and area – to create a journey and tell a story through your gong playing.

Using the powerful concepts of “gong maps,” you will learn how to play different areas of the gong to work with chakras, the physical body, the esoteric energy channels, and the four basic energies of the body and psyche. 

The training also focuses heavily on playing with two mallets to create new playing techniques and the importance of using the correct mallets for different energetic effects. 

You will also learn to play two gongs at once and how to complement and play with other gong players in concert and relaxation.
