Kundalini Yoga Master Practitioner is based solely on the fundamental practices of Kundalini Yoga that make up all the kriyas and teachings of this powerful technology.
The basic practices of Kundalini Yoga may be done for 1 to 3 minutes (or more!) and can be combined to create personalized yoga routines that honor your time and needs.
It makes the practice of Kundalini Yoga completely personal as you become your own teacher.

Mehtab and Guru Karam (Laura) Benton began their Kundalini Yoga journey over 50 years ago. They have taught Kundalini Yoga in their five yoga centers and their Kundalini Yoga ashram in Austin, Texas since the 1990s. They have recently celebrated their 10,000 consecutive days of their Kundalini Yoga practice together.
Yes, the course is designed to be both self-paced and on demand as well as being experienced live online.
Since this course is foundational for all practices of Kundalini Yoga, it is designed for both beginners as well as lifelong yoga students.
Each day features an in-depth workshop on the important foundational practices of Kundalini Yoga, as well as focusing on specific practices for building flexibility, strength, focus, and balancing the chakras.
Each day also includes several 3-part yoga practice series (“Trinity Sadhanas”) that can be done in 5 to 20 minutes.
The 120-day yoga practice helps you manage and commit to a consistent daily practice. Research on effective habit formation has shown it takes 3-4 months to form a long-term lifestyle change. In Kundalini Yoga, a 120-day yoga practice forms a new habit of consciousness that becomes integrated permanently into your psyche.
You may begin with any Kundalini Yoga practices you choose and change or add to them as the course progresses. The only requirement is that you do your yoga practice every day, whatever it may be. The minimum time for your daily yoga practice is 10 minutes, although many students will likely practice 20-35 minutes or more.
You can either complete your daily practice twice within a 24-hour period to make up for the missed day, or you can start your 120-day practice over again.
The training provides guidelines to help you choose practices according to your schedule and abilities, as well as suggested practices you can use and modify.
These are optional check-in times for questions, discussions, and interacting about “all things Kundalini.” Meetings are scheduled midway between the classes to connect and support each other in our journey.
You have the option to add a one-hour individual mentoring session with Mehtab or Laura (Guru Karam) that you can schedule anytime during the course. During this time, you receive guidance and individualized attention in developing your daily yoga practice.
When you purchase the course with this option, you can schedule a private one-hour mentoring session with Mehtab or Laura (Guru Karam) to discuss your personal yoga practice and also receive guidance in these areas that you chose: Yoga, Meditation, Vedic Astrology (Mehtab), Gongs (Mehtab), Ayurveda and Health (Laura), Clinical Hypnosis (Laura). You may schedule your session anytime before the course ends.
Upon completion of the course and your 120-day personal practice, you will receive a certification of Completion as a Kundalini Yoga Master Practitioner. Yoga teachers from all backgrounds are also qualified to receive 24 educational credit hours approved through Yoga Alliance.
